In a Jouto episode, Satoshi, Kasumi and Takeshi meet a Pokémon magician by the name of Leelee, who is attempting to create a spell that will let people read the minds of Pokémon. She is missing some vital ingredients however and Satoshi and co. offer to help out. After a brief scuffle with Roketto-dan, as is the norm, the spell is ready to go and Satoshi volunteers to test it. However, the spell does not have the expected results and Leelee realises that she missed a page of the spell. The result of the spell not working properly is Satoshi being transformed into a Pikachu. Luckily for Satoshi, the spell will wear off eventually and it does, right at the beginning of the next episode. Satoshi's Pikachu form was henceforth referred to as Satochu. Unfortunately for people who liked seeing him as a Pikachu, that one minute of Satochu screentime at the end of the episode was all they got. He was still a Pikachu in the next episode, but only for about half a minute then he returned to normal. This was quite a disappointment to some and many people wish the writers could have devoted an entire episode to Satoshi's predicament as a Pikachu. There were so many things the writers could have done with this plotline, but they apparently couldn't be bothered with dedicating a whole episode to Satochu.
