At the end of each episode, Orchid-hakase will usually talk about a Pokémon and then recite some senryuu (a Japanese form of poetry) relating to the Pokémon. For a while during the Diamond and Pearl saga, he would make up senryuu relating to the Pokémon belonging to the main characters and it would include some nice pictures of the characters with their Pokémon. "Partners, Satoshi and Pikachu, a good feeling."

"Aipom, it seizes with its tail, Satoshi's heart."

ナエトルは　あたまにはっぱ　はえとるぞ
Naetoru wa, atama ni happa, haetoru zo
"Naetle, the leaves on its head are growing."

ヒコザルは　やればできるこ　がんばるこ
Hikozaru wa, yarebade kiruko, ganbaru ko
"Hikozaru, if it tries its best, it can do anything"

よりつよく　めざせさいきょう　ブイゼルよ
Yori tsuyoku, mezase saikyou, Buizeru yo
"Stronger, aiming to be the best, Buoysel"

グライガー　サトシにげきとつ　しあわせよ
Guraigaa, Satoshi ni gekitotsu, shiawase yo
"Gligar, it crashes into Satoshi when happy"
